    Winter Lesson

Can anyone recommend a good winter golf school? I live and work in Kanata.

    Cheers

Sorry Moochie, I'm an east ender and have used the OAC Golf School last two years. One of your neighbors, Kevin Haime, is now running the school and was the reason I am returning for year #3. If his school is half as good as his talk then it will be worth it. I understand that Danielle Nadon has taken over a school, Tee to Green? She has a very good reputation in this part of the city. I think their school is in centre town, near the Corel Building (not the rink). There is also Warren's Total Golf, working out of The Thunderbird Sports Center, Kanata 613-836-2256 x 221. I met him (Warren Grant) briefly at the Golf Superdome last spring but have no personal knowledge of his ability as a coach/instructor. He has a web site, www.warrenstotalgolf.com and e-mail warren@warrenstotalgolf.com. Hope this helps.

    Best of luck,
    Kiwi

The Thunderbird on Richardson Side Rd. will not be used for golf this winter but Kevin has a facility in the Sens Sportsplex in Kanata. I've signed up there to hit balls. You can check Kevin's web site for info on this.

I would say the best place to take a few lessons is at Golftown. There quality of Pro's is second to none IMO.

    Bent Grass

You could check out Joe (the CPGA Pro) at Bent Grass in Bells Corners. You take the lesson on the simulators in range mode.

I worked with Joe the last two years at the OAC. I have a lot of time for him.
