Puppy wanted
WTB: My mother passed away 6 months ago and my dad is quite lonely. Looking for a puppy or younger dog (small breed) to keep him company. Not really sure where to look but a breeder is out as I don't want to take out a second mortgage to acquire one.
Any thoughts suggestions?
Thanks
Mike

One of the nicest dogs I ever knew was my boss's little Terrier. He had big "puppy dog eyes" His name was Moochie. LOL!

a girl I know is looking to get rid of her dog, she lives in an APT and doesn't really have time to take care of him, take him for walks and travels to much. He is no more than 15lbs, pretty small dog. I'll find out what kind of dog he is, they are looking for a good home for him

One thing to have in mind is the type of dog you get. Some considerations could be:-
How much exercise does this breed need? Some require a lot, even little dogs. As he gets older will he be able to do that?
How much do they shed? He may not want to be cleaning up hair all the time.
Any possible allergies? If he is prone to allergies then certain breeds are a lot better than others.
Does he want to have a dog that needs to go to the groomers frequently? This is the opposite to the dog that sheds all the time.
These are all necessary questions to help find the right dog. There are a lot of online sites to help you find the type best suited to his needs. It is often a problem when people buy the dog that looks the cutest.
I have a little Bichon Frise because I didn't want to do a lot of walking, don't like fur all over the house and have allergies. She is a very happy little dog, and we all adore her, but she isn't the dog I would have chosen for looks. A bit cutsie.
Happy hunting

What about a cat? Very low maintenance and are great for those people who can't or don't want to walk their pet every day and pick up dog sh$%. I know someone who found a 1 year old cat in the middle of the Queensway of all places, she already has 3 cats and a dog and is looking for a quiet home (no kids) for this cat.
