King Calls it a Career
Arnold Palmer withdrew from the Administaff Classic on Friday, then tearfully declared that he was retiring from competitive golf. His decision ends a groundbreaking 50-year career in which the charismatic "King" won 62 PGA Tour titles and, more importantly, played the key role in kickstarting the success of modern professional golf.

Truly a sad day in golf.
Arnie was the man for so many years. A legend for sure.

With all due respect to Arnie, his career ended a long time ago. No one knows if he regrets his poor showings in the past several years, but I like the way Jack went out instead.
