    Forzani buying some Nevada Bobs Stores

    Doesn't seem to affect the Ottawa Nevada Bob store. Interesting to see if this results in more golf stuff in their other stores.

    Forzani owns the Nevada Bobs name and franchises it out. Thatgoes for the Ottawa store as well.

    Hey, may be old news, but it's snowing outside, and I can't golf. This summer I was in speaking to folks at NBs and the Orleans Golf Academy (OGA). They both confirmed that negotiations were underway to open a new store at the OGA facility where Chuck Brown had been. Apparently the deal got delayed then it got too late in the season to open a store. Don't know where it all stands now (Nov) but think that it would still be a good location given the planned June 2007 opening of the OGA's new par 3 course. Only down side is that the store will be small, as was CB's. Had hoped to see them open a larger store up on Innes in the new construction zone there to provide some much needed service to the east enders. Hate that drive to Golf Town once a month.

    The store will be the size of the whole building, including where the offices currently are, if it opens.

    That sounds promising (size) but what about the "if". What are the hitches in the plan and when should we know some more?
