Here's hoping she has a good personality ... she won't be getting too far on her looks alone

The other thing that they have probably done with this design is move the location of the clubs center of gravity WRT the face of the club. Moving it further away from the face will tend to improve dispersion on off center hits.

Moving it up / down will change the launch angle and spin slightly as well.

I remember when the first toaster sized driver heads came out, and everyone scoffed and said they were stupid and too big to carry. Same thing for when cars went from sharp cornered to very streamlined looks....

People get used to everything eventually. If it starts to sell, and the golf manufacturers go for it, everyone will have 'em in a few years. They're always looking for some way to differentiate themselves from each other in a very competitive market, where often the differences between the products aren't very remarkable...

    Just my 2 cents.

Hit the FT-i today.....I still can't get over the look of it, but the club does work. I don't think I'd ever buy one though.

    That's classic Geoff

Looks like a similar principal to the Hibore, but made to look a little different. Maybe a hammer will sell better than a spoon?

Nah. A spoon is a tool that only you would use

    http://golf.about.com/cs/golfterms/g/bldef_spoon.htm

Definition: The spoon was the wooden-shafted club in (primarily) pre-20th Century golf history that is most equivalent to today's 3-woods. A modern 3-wood is not a spoon, however. Spoons were called that because their clubfaces were concave (shaped like a spoon, in other words). But in appearance, loft and purpose, the spoon is the antique golf club that most resembles today's 3-woods

Inertia: Objects ability to resist change of moving direction.

The dual-cone object (think 'spinning top') has 20% more inertia than a 'ball' shape.

We use inertia as one of the deciding factors when designing new bowling ball cores, and 1 company believes that their diamond shape is far superior than any other core shape, due to its initial inertia value before drilling.

Back on topic, and being a newbie, I must be the only one that thinks the club looks rather cool....

Does anyone remember the AMC Pacer? It was going to change the way cars would be designed. I still got my Lima Bean green hatchback with the Mac-Tac wood grain door panels. I would gladly trade it for one of these Babbies!

Just watching some of the Chrysler today and they showed a closeup of KJ Choi addressing the ball on 18. Guess what he was playing?

    The SQ^2. Ugh.

I think it looks pretty cool. But for some reason strange and unique clubs always appeal to me....matches my shots....strange and unique.
