4 Iron Carry + Distance
Just out of curiosity; how far do you hit your 4 iron and how much of that distance is actually carry? When I hit mine most of the time it's quite deceiving as it never goes very high or carries that far then just seems to roll forever.
Is this the same for you? I normally send mine about 185-200 yards.

Mine doesn't normally roll that much it's mostly carry distance and it's normally 205-210.

Before I hurt my knee I played my 4 iron for 206 with no roll, greens are pretty receptive in Pa.

I'm not sure how you manage to get much roll with a 4 iron. My usually just sticks into the ground or at best bounces once or twice......I do recall getting a little more "roll" the time that I threw it side-arm - it hit a tree lining the fairway and the piece with the head still attached "rolled" another 20- 30 yards. Other than that, I don't get much roll when I throw my 4 iron.....

2nd best club in my bag. I cant hit my driver but my 3wd is great--usually 220 to 230 as an average and after that I will usually use my 4 iron as I can get between 185 and 200 and fairly straight. By this time I am at the green or in close proximity--now I just need chippig lessons
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

The 4i is my 200yds or so club. Last week I hit one off the tee and with a small hop (no roll) it ended up 230yds out. I got most of that one...

Around 210 carry, goes nice and high and lands pretty soft. One of my favorite clubs!

205 yds carry if played normally. A punch shot will go 195-200 yds which I use a lot because my typical ball flight is pretty high.

I would have to say that I can pop my 4 iron about 180-190 carry and then maybe 5 yards roll. When I can hit a nice cut 4 iron, I seem to hit it crisper and can get it close to 200. When I can hit a nice cut...
Tried a 4h hybrid Callaway Fusion and was hitting it about 200-210 with not much roll on straight hits.

In this weather I lose distance as does everyone. I was hitting my 4 iron 200-210 carry+roll yesterday in close to zero temps.
