    Strange distances

Im just wondering why i might be hitting my irons so much farther than my woods. I hit my driver about 245 on a good hit but i can hit my 3 iron like 215. With short irons its even worse i hit my sand wedge about 115.

Is it possible that you are swinging the driver harder than any other club?

If that is the case, i will let some of the more accomplished players in here take a crack at it. I would hate to just confuse you with uneducated 'guesses'

Sounds about right. Your 3 iron has between 19 and 21 degree loft. There is a 4 loft difference between each club . Therefore you should hit a 3 wood(15 degree loft)around 225-230 and the driver 240-245 unless of course your launch angle is not right for you.

What are the specs of your driver (model, loft, shaft, shaft flex, etc)

It could be that you're using a driver that isn't right for your swing. You should be getting more distance out of your drives if you hit your irons that far.

Or maybe you are popping your drives up too high with a lot of fade spin.
