    Question Wedge worth

    Hey guys,

    I got a question.

As a newby (this will be my second year) I baught myself new irons this winter which came with a PW. and my last set was an old short set with only a 9i.

Is it worth it to get 58* wedge or should i stick with my PW this season?

    Sand wedge

I would recommend you also get a sand wedge, although 58* may be more loft than necessary. Most are 55-56*, which should be about right. If your set has a lower-lofted pitching wedge (i.e., under 47*), you may want to go even lower.

    wedges

    CiscoPat:
    Go to www.clevelandgolf.com

Then click on wedge selection system.
    Choose "Loft" first then "Bounce".

This should help explain a few of your questions.

    Good Luck

    Wedge Reviews

I usually check out the GolfClubReview site when looking for new equipment. The wedge section can be found at:

    http://www.golfclubreview.com/wedges...mendations.htm

Without a doubt, the most popular wedges for pros and amateurs are Clevelands. However, I'm not sure they are appropriate for beginners and high-handicappers - and both Clevelands and Titlest Vokey wedges can be rather pricey.

I have a Pure Spin gap wedge, and I love it. Very easy to use and reasonably priced.
