Golf was a given, wasn't even going to bother with that one. The cheerleader comp is going in the dirty old man thread.

Overall, definitely the NHL, but I love the NFL too - on a game to game basis, it is more interesting, because every game matters so much more than in the NHL.

Voted hockey, but baseball would be a very close second. so much going on in a baseball game.Hockey is the most exciting sport to watch by far though.

I can see where people think baseball is a boring sport, but although its not the most athletic sport there is. There is alot more than just pitching and catching. You have to know each batters preferences in diferent situations, where to set up in the feild for each batter/situation,Where to throw the ball to a batter in certain situations. The hitters arnt always trying to hit the ball wherever they can. They may have to go oposite field to drive in runs, bunt, hit and run(where they may have to swing at a pitch above there headorbelow there knees). It isnt an easy task when the ball is coming at you 95+mph. So much more going on in a game than most people can see.
I 'm a little bias to baseball as I played some college ball in Florida for 2 years.

You forgot none of the above.
I will watch hockey, but mainly because my wife loves hockey. She is a grand-daughter of an Ottawa Senator (1933).Back at it.

Basketball is king, but a very good argument can be be made as follows:
Soccer & Hockey have too little scoring
Basketball has too much
NFL Football is just right.
I used to really enjoy a nice sunday proline football day, until the children, bless their little hearts, and I guess their lovely mother came along. Now its "what not to wear" and "property ladder" and "barefoot contessa" sigh.
