How many Hybrids?
Just curious how many hybrids each of you carries? Some obvious choices since the decision by manufacturers to strengthen lofts, is to replace your 3 & 4 irons.
However I wonder if some here have an all-in-one purpose club. I.e. a certain loft utility just for rough/high long shots etc.
Trying to figure out what to do within the 14 club rule and curious how most here use them?"Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual"

I carry two, 27 deg #5 and 23.5 deg #4. They replaced my 3i and 4i.

One...
I have one #5 hybrid, and I still hit my 5 and 4 iron better than it.... I suppose I just need practice - bought it on a whim because my brother insisted that they were ultra-easy to hit. I guess if you don't have a problem hitting longer irons, it's not worth the bother...
Cheers,

I carry a 2, 3, and 4, although the 4 seems to be leaving the bag i rthink, but the 2 replaces pretty much botht he 3 and 5 wood, and the 3 is my true "utility " club if you will, form very hard lies, buried fairway sand, etc.

Fairway wood-like hybrids don't seem to agree with me so I carry an iron-like hybrid @ 19* to replace my 5w and 3i. I still carry a 4iron but it's mostly for tee shots (I don't know the last time I hit it off the fairway.)

Just one right now(TM Rescue Mid TP 16°), I love it it's my go to club, I use it alot.
I'd like to add the TP 19° sometime soon or possible the new Titliest PT 585H.

I should have added that I may end up tweaking my setup a bit over the winter.
I toying with adding either 2H or a 3H and dropping the 5H. I would then adjust the lofts on my 5i -> 7i to give me a slightly different spacing so that it fits with the hybrids better.
Either way, the bag will end up being Driver, 5W, two hybrids, 5i-9i, 4 wedges, and a putter.

I have the 25, 22 and 19 hybrids. They have changed the way I play...for the better.

I have 3i and 2i hybrids (iron-like Wishon 321LIs). I will carry one or the other depending on the course, conditions, etc. Or sometimes I will carry my 7 wood instead if I need 210yd carries with a high trajectory (rare). If the course typically does not present any 3 wood opportunities (both tee and fairway) I might carry both hybrids.

I don't have any Hybrids but I do have Cally Steelhead III 7 and 9 woods that are awesome.

I am dropping the 4 for 2 reasons, one it is a regular shaft and i find it to hard to control. butmostly it just does not offer anythi to me, i will carry a 3 and then to the 5 iron, work for my game.

One
23* Orlimar
I like this one, it has a bit bigger head, kind of like an older style fairway wood. I have also used to from off the fringe, in fact I holed a birdie putt a week ago with it. Ball was resting against the collar of rough and the fringe of the green. Hybrids work well for that shot.
I carry 4 up in my irons, for now.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I have a 17 degree Titleist 585H instead of a 5 wood, and a 20 degree Nickent 3DX Ironwood to replace my 3 iron.

I have a 17* hybrid I bought to replace my 3i or 4i, but I did not find I hit it well. I bought another one that is 21* and I hit that one just fine, but no farther than the 3i or 4i, so not sure if I will stick with it or not yet. Maybe with more practice I can get some extra distance to fill the gap I have, but at least it is STRAIGHT.

As noted in one of the other threads, my success ratio with my hybrids is MUCH higher than with the irons they replaced. On perfect hits, they go the same distance.

I have two, the Bridgestone, which is more of a driving iron, and the Rescue. They both serve me very well. I don't carry a three iron, and I barely use my four iron.

I am thinking of going with just one, even though i generally am not good with my 3/4 iron and keep them out of bag,but maybe with more practice.
I need to drop a club, so I am hopefull one can do the trick.
I recently tried a couple with more of an iron shape and may sell mine and replace with that style, even though the hogans have been my go to clubs, but I love the iron like shape i.e. jmax, bridgestone etc."Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual"

All of my "irons" are ironwoods, including the sw and pw, so I gues I carry 10.

None. Trusty two iron is all I need. Might switch it to a one iron next year though, I can't seem to get the 2 to go low.
