Go to www.si.com and check out their gallery, the Ryder Cup Wives and Girlfriends. I'll reserve my comments, except to say that Woods has by FAR the best looking wife/girlfriend. Although, Norman's daughter ain't bad (wonder if she comes with a prenup?).

Just another reason I love the euros more. Flashy, shamrock, luck of the irish green or whatnot, I think it is fun. Gee look at the US, a dark suit, how drab/boring,isn't that what you wear to a funeral.....hmmm? ...now that I think about it

I love those Lime Green Jackets. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. As much as I love wearing black clothing there is nothing wrong with those green jackets. Brightens up the show!
Some of the American wives, did they fly over in an open cockpit plane and forget to do their hair after they landed? At least they are not all blondes. I recall one Ryder Cup I think every American wife had blonde hair!

So why are we not getting live coverage? I was up at 4 waiting for the first tee off only to discover that TSN coverage only begins at 8. Will we be seeing all of this on tape?

We'll likely get live coverage of the afternoon matches.

Here is an update from the first matches being played as of 6:15AM EST
    SPOILER DELETED
With tape delay being used it might be best if we avoid spoilers in this thread. Please start a Ryder Cup results thread marked *SPOILERS* for those who won't be watching later.

Recently someone spoiled another tape delay event when Tiger lost his lead and went to a playoff. Pretty much killed it for me.

    Help me out here, please.

The morning round was "fourballs". Now I think this means there were 4 balls in play, so I assume each player played his ball into the hole, and the team score was the better of the two scores. So, if Tiger makes par and Furyk makes birdie, the team score for the hole is birdie. Right?

I think that was the easy one.

The afternoon round is called "foursomes". I know that is not a threesome with an extra player , but could someone please tell me what it is?

What styles will they play tomorrow? Isn't there the one where they both tee off and select the best from there after which they alternate shots into the hole? What do they call that?

I'm pretty sure there are no pics of the type described of Tiger's wife, I think the ones that were circulated accross cyberspace were of playboy model Kimberly Hiott, who looks alot like Tiger's spouse.

I just caught the first hole before heading to work this morning. The course & weather were looking great.

Mornings you got it right. Afternoon, alternate shots. one ball in play and they take turns on every shot.

Two golfers I absolutley don't cheer for at ANTIME, Lefty who is making me VERY HAPPY with his gawed awful play and Garcia who is pissing me off with his unbelievable play!

I was/still am rooting for our American neighbours and friends to win, but if it comes down to Lefty having to win his match tomorrow for the U.S.A. to win, then I am rooting for his Euro opponent, even if it is Garcia!

C'mon how can you not like Garcia? The guy is dynamite in the Ryder Cup. He pumps up the crowd, he pumps up his team and he pumps up his playing partner and he ticks off the Americans. What's not to love about this guy?

Lefty is sucking big time, the mess from the U.S Open still lingers.

How about that ACE that Paul Casey made on the 222 yard Par 3. That was just plain sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

4 1/2 points is all they need tomorrow out of 12 matches. Let's hope they get the job done early. I can not watch it as I have a tournament. I will be wearing my Ryder Cup, K CLUB Windbreaker though.

You will not get your wish of having Garcia take down Lefty. Ollie has Lefty. Here are the pairings for the Sunday Singles

    Colin Montgomerie v David Toms
    Sergio Garcia v Stewart Cink
    Paul Casey v Jim Furyk
    Robert Karlsson v Tiger Woods
    Luke Donald v Chad Campbell
    Paul McGinley v JJ Henry
    Darren Clarke v Zach Johnson
    Henrik Stenson v Vaughn Taylor
    David Howell v Brett Wetterich
Jose Maria Olazabal v Phil Mickelson
    Lee Westwood v Chris DiMarco
    Padraig Harrington v Scott Verplank

Garcia drives me over the edge! (ya I know its not a drive, its a short putt) I am going to be rooting for Ollie and Cink tomorrow I'm not counting the Yanks out just yet, they have some awesome players who play well under this type of pressure.
