The Marshes - Low Bounce or Reg Bounce?
Hey everyone - I'm teeing off at the Marshes for the first time in 3 1/2 hours and I'm wondering which wedges I should take along with me my regular bounce ones or my low bounce ones.
I'm assuming that a "Premium" courese would have close to perfect fairways (therefore normal bounce), but I don't know for sure. Also, what are the areas around the greens like?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Well now, aren't you the little pro. Two sets of wedges hunh? Hey, if it works, why not right?
As for which wedge set to use, I have only played the course once, but I do remember the conditions to be quite favourable to low/mid bounce wedges. There are collection areas around some greens so it would be just like playing from the fwy around those greens. Don't remember the rough being too gnarly around the greens. Chipping and pitching was ok.
Not sure if this helps you too much, but enjoy the day and the course. It will be a challenge for sure."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

But now I'm totally confused, I thought that one should be using low bounce wedges off of harder ground conditions ......Maybe I should have just stuck to fishing

Fishing? What excitment is there in that?
As for bounce, low bounce if have a shallower angle of attack or are playing hard conditions.
High bounce if you have a steep angle of attack or are playing soft conditions."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

So Scott, how did you make out? Despite what some say I rather like the course.
I shot 71 yesterday there, well ok, my team shot 71 , but I did manage to play 18 holes and only lose 1 ball.
