An update on my golf goals at what is close to the mid-way point (wahhhh) of the season...

Looking back over on this post, it seems I never replied, so here it is:

1. Drop my average index from 14.3 to 10-11 Realized for a while, but broke the 10 barrier today with an official 9.6
2. Reduce the number of triple bogies and eliminate quads and others Better luck next year on the quads and others. Triples are down tho!
3. Reduce my par 4 scoring average to 5 Done (so far through 59 rounds)
4. Increase my GIR to 30% Almost there at 26.6%
5. Increase my Fairways hit to 60% Almost there at 57.9%
6. Lower the number of penalties/round from 2.7 to 1.5 or lower Still trying to get down from 1.9
7. Increase my sand save percentage to 20% Done at 25.3%
8. No rounds in the 100s Baaahh, just 1 in 59 :po
9. Make another trip to Myrtle in late fall/early winter Planning...

For the OGT:

1. Play more than 8 events With 4 down already, this looks good.
2. Score better than last years average So far so good
3. Win enough to cover my wagers Still shut out :cryin

So, 4 of 12 with another 4, maybe 5 if I can win some money, a possibility. Not too bad a first half
