I was just wonderig what the course in the ottawa area is with the fastest greens.

They tend to vary around here, but the fastest I've seen this year were one day at Eagle Creek during the dry part of the summer.

Loch March also tends to run on the fast side.

The fastest greens I've played this year were a day at Rideau View followed by, believe it or not, Pakenham and day two of our club championship.

I hear Royal Ottawa.. Yesterday during the Cornwall Open they were lightning.. Def. the fastest I have played this year and I have played eagle creek and the hunt.

I agree. 2 1/2 weeks ago at Pakenham the greens on Lake & Canyon were sick fast. As fast as I've ever seen them. Comparable to the early days at Stonebridge. Some were 4-putt territory, and pure. They were nice and healthy, but so firm you barely made a ball mark. The rest of the course was in fantastic shape too, but the greens were all any of us could talk about afterwards.

The fastest greens that I have seen this year were at Royal Ottawa. Rivermead's greens have been a bit slower than last year, but were very slick around club championship time. In one round, I saw five balls putted off of the green.
