    NCAA basketball in Ottawa...

    I had the chance to go to games on the week-end. Ottawa University and Carleton vs the Louisville Cardinals (with Rick Pitino) and the Lasalle Explorerers.

    The Ottawa teams surprise the NCAA teams I think. Both Ottawa and Carleton played inspired basketball and competed very well.

    It was awesome to have a chance to see some great games.

    I wondered if anybody else went?

    Carleton lost to Louisville by only 1 point but deserved to win the game, and they beat LaSalle by 1 point even though they did not play their best game.

    Ottawa lost to Louisville by 8 ( I think) and beat LaSalle by 1.

    Louisville is a top 25 team in the NCAA, and even though they had two starters injured, both Ottawa teams showed that they can compete with the top US NCAA basketball schools. Pitino even said that Carleton could compete in the Big East conference in the NCAA.

    Although a top 25 team, I would like to see how they'd fare against a top 10 ten. But I'm still quite impressed with the performance. Good job on them.
