Mont Cascades Golf Club
I've never played "yet", but this course from the tour on this site looks amazing and all for $30 during the week. What are peoples impressions on this course.

It is as nice as it looks. Get a cart for the back 9. Spectacular in the fall.

A cart ?
y Walk the damn course. Walk every course. Better for you and better for the planet. Turn golf back into "a walk in the park, spoiled"

nice course for sure
fireice
I was a member there for about 15 yrs, have many freinds still playing there for that matter adn played a half dozen times last year.
If you enjoy a challenge, go and experience it this year. Not a very long course but accuracy is a must. Front nine willl not give many level areas to hit from, and smallish / slowish greens make it interesting. Back nine is tighter and with more hills.
Btw..............fall time is the BEST time to play as you get the spectacular colour show with the trees in the mountains.
Also to note fireice...............we will be playing Mont Cascades with OG Tour on July 13 as our Member / Guest Event.........last year it was our biggest showing and should again be a great turn out.

Mont Cascade is a walk in the park?
I would hardly describe the back 9 at Mont Cascade as a "walk in the park". It is a mountain course, after all.
Going from 11 to 12 is a long, uphill climb, then you have a ravine to go into and out of on 14, and a "mountain climb" from 16 to 18 that even the golf carts have a tough time with.
You can walk it if you like, but don't hold up play while you are trying to catch your breath on the 17th hole.Golf is a game invented by the same people who think music comes out of bagpipes.

I lived in BC the last 7 years. I'm up for any "mountain climbs". Bring it on.

I've been working at Cascades for the last 12 years and I still strongly suggest to ride the back 9. As El Tigre said, 11 to 12 is a long haul and after the challenging 16th par 5, you are on an uphill climb to 18.
It's a see-it-to-believe-it course and well worth the drive.
BTW. 2003 rates are $30 (week), $37 (weekends), and $26 (cart)
Have fun
