    "30"

In the OVGA Seniors Championship on Monday, I had the pleasure of witnessing the best 9 holes of golf that I have have ever seen played. Willy Walker of Outaouais made 6 birdies on the front 9 and had an amazing score of 30. Two other putts had a look at the hole so he was a couple of millimetres away from achieving a 28 or 29. He hit every full shot as solid as anyone is capable of. Great stuff!

Yes, but that is another story in itself. The 30 was awesome to watch.

I was 2 groups ahead but had no clue as to what was going on behind us. Unfortunately, my scores were nowhere near 30 or 39 for that matter! Well done Mr Walker.

You should see his son Mike hit a ball.... I was in Mike's foursome about 5 or 6 years ago during a super scramble event at our club and he hits a looooong straight ball, unbelievable. We won the even at I believe 19 under for an 18 hole event. Willy can't beat him anymore Mike holds the course record at Outaouais (South/West) with a 62 from the tips. Anyone who plays at Outaouais can see the card hanging on the wall as you enter the bar! and make sure you look at the par 5's which with that score you would expect some Eagles

I have played with Mike and he is one of the best golfers in this region and his swing motion is certainly a professional one. As he is working full time I gather from Willy that he does not spend as much time on his game as he may have in the past and the short game is the first part to suffer. Good genes, I guess.

A tournament '30' would be incredible to produce!

I had a men's night 30 this year out at our club (Greyhawk) and that was an incredible feeling. I played the last five holes in birdie - birdie - birdie - birdie - eagle.

It is safe to say that I will be hard pressed to ever accomplish that again!
