With an avatar of Greg Norman, and reference to a condo, it is understandable that people might get a picture in their head of someone older. Probably the calibre of high cost golf courses he plays also contributed to that impression by many people.

Those are my exact thoughts. Given the pictures, I would now assume EG is 26-30 years of age. Being 22 myself, I know it will be awhile until I play nice courses and live in a condo!

I'll be 28 in a few months. I work in Alberta in the oil industry. That translates into very high income I guess for my age, so I guess I'm fortunate I chose this career.

I'm not sure which type of threads someone of my age would be expected to start, but I wasn't aware the ones I was creating/participating in were the sort someone in their mid 40's would be interested in.

At least for me, most people I know that own a condo are older. Mid 40s to early 50s. Probably the perception others got as well.

The new trend are condos. It's simply the best investment you can make right now because the prices go up so quickly. The place I am in went from $169,000 to $210,000 from April of this year to now.

I was going to say 26. The oilpatch thing was easy. I went to school with a bunch of Chem Eng types who did the 14 on / 7 off thing when they worked in the field.

Condos are perfect investments if you rent them out, not AS good if you live in them. Get a few of them, you'll be laughing the rest of your life.

They are still good investments if you live in them for a short period of time, like I plan to. The big thing about condos is that like you said, there will always be renters where a house might be a bit harder to move depending on what you own and location.
