Along the 401?
Okay, I didn't know if I should put this in the Kingston or Toronto, so I'm just putting it in travel. I'm heading to Owen Sound this weekend, and I'd like to stop and play a round on the way. I don't have a price range, I just want to play a course that I normally wouldn't have a chance. It has to be easy enough to get a tee time for say, Friday morning/early afternoon.

Colonade is between Kingston and Gananoque and a couple minutes off the 401. I like it because as a new golfer its a forgiving course.

A really nice course that I played in May is only a few minutes off the 401 at Belleville and that is Black Bear Ridge. It was in great shape then and I'm sure it's still pretty good. It's just off Hwy #37.

Smugglers Glen is only a few clicks from the 401, fantastic to play, reasonably priced, and I cannot wait to go there again. It is in excellent condition and the greens are fast and rolling true.
You would likely have to call at 8AM on Monday to get a tee time on Friday, like I had to on my 3rd try, and had to whine a bit too.[COLOR=DarkRed]"Friends don't let friends use Internet Explorer"

Haven't played it myself, but I've only heard great things about Timber Ridge (pretty sure that was the name). It was on the Score golf top 100 this year, and I know of a few ppl who have gone and had excellent experiences..

Turns out we're gonna play Turning Stone in Owen Sound. Anyone heard about it or played it?
