    Priceless

    Played at Smugglers Glen today:

Gas to drive there and back - $20.00
Green fees and power carts - $73.04
A new Smugglers Glen shirt - $51.24 (ya, I forgot to put on a collar shirt)

Watching a 12" putt roll past the hole by 6 ft - priceless

But you never said what your final tally was.
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I shot 92, 44 out and 48 in. Might have to adjust for ESC, have not found the slope yet.

I loved it, what a beautiful view of the river too. I was told to hit first, I smacked a beauty, faded to the right side of the fairway near the rocks. Then 2 of the other 3 chunked and I laughed, all the way to the hole for an 8. My second shot was in trouble right, and I played it from the edge of the hazard badly, blowing up further on my next shot.

No worry about losing balls, I was packing at least 5 dozen.

Glad you had good time... Played there 3 times during the cottage vacation last year. Couldn't break 90 each time out. Extreme target golf indeed. All I remembered was driving the short par 4 #17? And having a burger and beer and the top of hill. Is the hotdog stance still there now that the clubhouse is completed.

Hotdog stand is in front of the clubhouse on a wooden deck, and the sausages were frickin spectacular.

Yeah .. well coming up short below the rocks on the right side with a severe uphill lie then hitting short into those rocks will net you a 6 every time.

    Told ya you'd like it!

    Slope: Black - 130, Gold - 122, White - 118
    Rating: Black - 71.6, Gold - 69.2, White - 67.2
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Thanks, I figured the slope would be high. No ESC needed then, 92 it is.

I got mixed up, and I talked about Hole # 12, with the uphill green and rocks on the right, another short Par 4. On the Par 4 17th today it played 280. I hit a nice 3W, but in addition to the thin red metal stake for the 100 yard marker, there was a square cut out of the fairway about 1-1/2" deep, and an almost square flagstone fitted into it with 100 etched on it (I think this was very new). Anyway, my ball landed and stopped dead to our amazement, which was explained when I arrived and found my ball wedged between the flagstone and the edge of the cutout from the fairway, dented and pushed up a bit where it hit. Had I hit the stone, or anywhere else I likely would have seen another 40-60 yards.
