Welcome to the board. Enjoy your stay and don't mind "Richard" 's ridiculous threads.

Welcome Victory. Just a word of caution. There are a number of clubmakers on this forum but only two who post regularly and most of their posts are traps set for the rest of us that I refuse to fall into . I'll let you figure out who they are...
The opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.

I'm not Reid. I was looking for a forum for clubmakers to discuss different techniques and such, I hope I am in the right place. I am not trying to sell my services here.

Hello, I'm Wiffle, and I am new to this forum and website. I started making clubs as a hobby in 1992, but I'm not real active at it now, except for making modifications, shortening/lengthening clubs and changing grips. I'm 76 & 1/2 and I am getting some back and joint problems, so I decided to try and really learn how to accomplish the late release during the swing. Up to now I have not been successful, but I have been working on Paul Bertholy's Program I (and Preliminary move). Trouble is my lower back hurts and I can only do two sets before I have to sit down or lie down. I have an apptment with an orthopaedics guy in October. I watch all the pros on TV and watched several of the offerings on this website; it looks so easy, but to me it is illusory and frustrating. I hope I can catch on to it before I can't swing a club at all.
Glad to be here. Wiffle, from Cinnaminson, NJ

I believe Chieflongtee was referring to Ried changing his name to 1972Apex. They are both well know clubmakers on this forum. Speaking of name changes, "Richard" is also know as thotho or "DicK"

John. My reply was intended for 1972 Apex aka Reid Masson as Eldred pointed out. 1972 Apex is referring to himself when he's talking about traps , Welcome to the forum. BTW do you know John Kaufman personally?

Thanks for the welcome....If you are talking about the John Kaufman who is the designer of the Club Scout, then yes, I know him. I have been to his house to pick up my club scout III, and I was able to chat with him for a little bit and check out his shop. He's a great guy.

I think it works for some, and others don't like it. I haven't played with it much. I have just done some casual reading on it. I plan to try it with my Driver and see how I like it.
