The PGA Championship
Holy toledo, talk about the potential for the best finish of all time.
I just tuned in at 3pm, haven't seen Mike Weir yet even though he's -7. Have they showed him yet???
By the way, I've said it before, but HD RULES!Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

It would kill my fantasy golf weekend, but I'd still love to see Luke Donald win. He seems like a really good kid. I think the only person on the leaderboard I don't want to win is Sergio.

Mike's getting his share of camera time....had 2 bad 3 putts for bogey and almost holed his chip on the 5th. How bout Love? Chunks his chip into the bunker and then holes the sand shot...2nd time he did it out of the bunker on the front. Crazy.

I just can't get over the leaderboard, it's INSANE for a major. I saw Mike's approach on 9, just beautiful.

Yikes, Appleby shot a 79 today. Considering that the course isn't playing that tough, he must have really frigged up.

What? Play in a major and be seen in HDTV and talked about on forums in your homeland? Or throw darts at the pins?

They said tiger has never lost a major when leading by two or more strokes.. but he was tied with glover when they said that! idiots, anyway... What a great pairing, I loved how they paired the 3 najor champs together for the frist two rounds. Is that what they usually do? Cause its a great idea. I almost think their ratings would be higher is they just went with the season ranking, 1, 2 3 together, 4, 5,6 togehter and if some of those guys play again on the weekend together then so be it. Or better yet, player 1 has to play with 2 players within 15 rankings of him and so on, all the way down so you don't get the same guy every week but you would have the top guys playing eachother every thur friday... ratings would be sick... if they evr covered the thur, frid rounds
Anyway, back on topic. Tomorrow is going to be awesome. I can't wait to see what happens, if tigers gets to 12 majors.... he'll probably pass jack at age 34-35... hilarious

To answer your question about the Thursday/Friday pairings "Richard" Yes the PGA always puts the previous Major Winners together. If one of them has won two then they usually add the last Major winner from the previous year.
As for Woods winning, well.............. If he continues striking the ball as he did today he will be tough to beat.
However Donald might be a pretty cool cat to deal with also. Nothing seems to ruffle his feathers.
Mike and Geoff are also in a pretty good position in the 2nd last group.
So it should be a good finish and exciting to watch.
Oh yeah, what about Mikey's 2nd shot on 15 out of the fairway bunker, over the trees to tap in range? That was just SICK!My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Why are the papers, anouncers and players always bad mouthing tournements where so many people are in the red? whats the big deal? This is easily, so far, the best tourney of the year. 70 people within 8 strokes to start the 3rd round. It seasons like everyone would be happier if everyones scores were about 5 strokes lower... but what is the big deal? the leader would still be leading by the same number of strokes. The US open, the winner didn't even break par. I think there were 4 total rounds in the red or something. How is that fun to watch? the galaries need something to get excieted about... a boogie on the last hole to win or force a play off isn't very fun.

is it just me, or is tiger's driver not the SQ... perhaps the 450 ignite?
EDIT - not. Just read a post in the OEM equip section saying the 450 is just a cosmetic upgrade for the lower end NDS.
So, what is he playing, a 460 ignite? I'm pretty sure it isn't the SQ, unless I'm color blind.www.chapeaunoirgolf.com

The R&A just goes about the business of conducting a Championship. Bascially what you see is what you get at the courses in the rota. Carnoustie was a disastor, I doubt we'll see a setup like that again for The Open Championship.
Then we come to the PGA of America and their Major. They are fair when it comes to course setups. For example Whistling Straits. Great setup, it was tough but not stupid. Great shots were rewarded.
Medinah is setup perfectly in my mind. However we have to remember that there has been some rain there to soften the greens and fairways. Without rain, and with hard greens I doubt we would be staring at two scores of -14 after todays round. But in general the PGA does not try to trick up a course like the USGA does.
What the USGA did at Shinnecock Hills was a disgrace to the game of golf. When you have the best players in the world purposely hitting into a bunker in front of a Par 3 so they would have a better chance at making par then something just isn't quite right. At least this year they did not allow the greens to turn brown.
I agree, birdies are fun to watch. However I also like a firm test of golf too. IMO the US Open was a firm test of golf this year, but it was not stupid as it has been in the past.
Enjoy the show, these are the best golfers in the world and they are lighting it up at MedinahMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
