Indeed, well I wasn't thinking this year anyway. Might cramp Tanglegrips style.

Little Brit have no fear, my travel plans (such as they are) are still intact. I may be delayed but that would be more to do with work at this end as some projects are appearing on the horizon and I may have to schedule my travel plans around them.

Thom, thank you for your suggestions, I'll certainly look into them and hopefully will be able to incorporate them into my plans. I really appreciate the input.

From what I have heard of the coup, the armed forces have the backing of the King, and he is not only loved in Thailand, he is revered. Given the backing of the monarchy for the coup I would be surprised if there is any violence. If the military does put in a caretaker Prime Minister that is acceptable to a large minority, or a majority, of the Thai people then I think the rest will just get on with life. Only time will tell of course and I will be watching the news closely.

I'm in the same boat. My wife and I are scheduled to fly to Bangkok on December 19. The trip includes a week of golf in Hua Hin. Let's cross our fingers..

    Hi Tanglegrip
Not all that's said so far is true but alot are.
Thailand is a beautiful country with lots of different culture co-existing. The north (where I am) is particularly lovely, cool and crisp, this time of the year and perfect for golf and leisurely tour.
If you wish, we can arrange all for you. Please visit our site http://www.GOLFnTours.com
Contact Us if you require more information.
    Have a nice trip anyway.
