Best Golf Course you Have ever Played
OK guys and gals. Time to let us know what the best course you have ever played. Let's see how our courses in Ottawa do on this list.
My list includes Brudenell River (PEI), Highland Links (Nova Scotia) and I'll include the newly renovated Rideauview on this list.

Either Eagle Creek or Le Geante in Tremblant. Marshes a close third.

The Heritage Club & The Dunes in Myrtle Beach top my list.
Closer to home, I'll say Timber Ridge.

Without question, "The Lynx at Kingswood Park" in Fredericton New Brunswick. What a fantastic course.

The Old Course, followed closely by the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

The Olympic View course on Vancouver Island. Spectacular.
Almost played the Kapalua course where the PGA Mercedes Championships
is held in Maui, but decided not to fork out the $500 US it would have cost.
Looked very nice from the little bit I saw, But terrific ocean views and whales!!
The South Muskoka Golf and Curling Club in Bracebridge.
Then Rideauview. You can never golf too much. What was that dear? Oh okay. Maybe you can.

I played Bay Hill in Orlando with my father and a business associate of his (yes THE Bay Hill). Other than that nothing too exotic. I've played the Fazio and Dye courses at the Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach, and then I'll have to say Eagles Glenn and Crowbush Cove on PEI just because not many ppl have played these great courses.

I love the traditional courses, so my votes go for Highland Links (NS), Royal Montreal (Blue), and my past and present home courses (Kanawaki and Rivermead). If I have to pick a more modern course, I will go with Le Maitre in Mont Tremblant for the beautiful views.

Definitely my favourite course would be another hidden gem, that I recommend to anyone driving through the Rockies: Golden Golf Club in Golden BC. Its an absolutely beautiful layout, nestled beside the Columbia River. I played a 6am round there one summer before heading out on the road. The only company I had were the 60 odd deer I saw and about 4 nests of eagles. Do yourself a favour and play it if you get the chance. It is a steal at this price (between 50-60 bucks). http://www.golfgolden.com/

Arizona Golf!!
Either Ventana in Tucson Arizona or Sedona G&CC in Northern Arizona. Better conditions and treatment at the first and better scenery in at Sedona.
You know you can leave Ottawa airport at 06:00 EST and land in Tucson Arizona at 09:30AM PST in time for lunch and a round.

Bigwin Island
Bigwin Island in the Muskokas region has to be played. It's a bit pricey but I found it was well worth it. Extremely tame dear that like to make friends with golfer, too.

Best Courses Played
My list would include Highland Links (NS) and Boulder Creek golf course in Boulder City, Nevada just 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas. Resonable price for the area and an excellent facility.

If you want to stay in Vegas and scratch your golf itch without taking up an entire day, I would highly recommend the Calloway Golf Centre. It is right on the Strip and if you don't bring your own clubs, you can try out thier demos on this par three course for 20-30 bucks. It's pretty cool to try and tee-off with a jumbo jet flying less than 500 feet over your head. Here is a link to the description:

Highland Links hands down is the best, conditioning could be a lil better but the course is phenominal.
Royal Oaks - Rees Jones design in Moncton NB
Links at Kingswood - Fredricton NB
Crowbush Cove - PEI
Brudenell - PEI
Dundarave - PEI
Fairmount Algonquin - St. Andrews NB
and yes I have an East Coast bias over Ottawa area courses I've played so far!!!!Rob
