r5 Dual - N vs Draw
Anyone here playing the R5?
These are going for $199 at Nevada Bobs now , wondering if I'm better suited for the N or the D , I hit a fade and not real high, 97mph SS . Any thoughts?

Take a draw bias and a higher loft with a stiff shaft. $199 for that driver is a great deal. I aw the flyer and could not beleive it.

I wonder if GT will drop their price down to match as well? In particular on their R5 fairway woods.

Sure enough, Although GT will price match and beat NBs price by 5%, they will not drop their price on their fairway woods.

I am hitting the r5 and love it...take the D if your tendency is to fade and things will start to straighten up a bit for you.

Golftown.com has both the R5 Dual drivers and the fairway woods priced at $198 each.

I will throw in my 2 cents...
I got fitted by the TM man, and he ended up telling me 9.5 Draw Stiff...my swing speed is similar, and I hit my Callaway VFT with a bit of a fade. So now, the driver pushes the ball right, and it draws back to the fairway with fairly long roll. (I love this club)

I was reading on another site that you can turn you R5 Dual into a R5 TP with removable weights fairly easily. May be worth checking out if anyone buys one.

Denny,
Can you point to the web site which explains how to do this?
I thought the TLC cartridges in the R5 were "permanent".
Can this be done with their fairway woods too?Proud member of the 2009 Ryder Cup winning team

I just picked up one of the r5 dual Type D and i'm really impressed , i used to hit the ball with a fade (some call it slice) but i tried the club in Golf town and then bought it , then took it straight to the driving range , and i'm amazed with the results , No more slices!I really swung hard and opened my shoulders deliberatley and found minimal fade on these shots! When i swung normally , i hit it either straight or with a slight draw ! Absolutley amazed by this club so far ! Those who have a tendancy to hit the ball with a fade gotta check this club out , at this price its a steal.
In the time i was in Golf Town to make the sale , Three other people bought this club, they're selling fast !At the end of the day ... It gets dark

Damned you people into making me think I need a backup driver! I am really trying to resist the urge to go buy one of these. But between your raves and ho'ing and the fact that I have a R5 3W and 5W, my resistane is beginning to fade away.
Only if someone would buy my V-Steel!!!Proud member of the 2009 Ryder Cup winning team
