    looking for cheap movers

So far I'm getting quotes of 2 people and a 17footer for $80/hr and 3 people for $95/hr and a 17 footer. Anyone know of any good moves who preferably will take golftown store credit... but that last part isn't a must

Get a case or 2 of beer, buy something everyone wants with your GT credit and post in the forum for free beer and a draw for a GT prize (after we all help you move of course)

Ha, that would be awesome but I need a big truck and some movers to move some heavy stuff. I'm going to have everything packed, boxed, bagged, unscrewed and ready to go so these guys don't take 10 hours to move

thanks indio, you rock! Cov, i already live in ottawa. I'm just down sizing the house I'm in now to the town house (my dad is). I also live in toronto where I rent while I'm school Don't worry this doesn't mean I will be in ottawa more which in turn would mean more penut butter at the bottom of the cups at golf courses

I would help out in a flash as well but the thing is I'm allergic to my own sweat, therefore I can't exert myself.....

Like Geoff, I would help out also. But the doctors told me not to lift anything heavy for another month or two. Just my golf clubs, out of the car onto the push cart and back in.

Otherwise I would come, actually I would be a good supervisor. But Ottawa? Wayyyyyyyyyy to far to drive. Hang in there "Dick", you will find help. Or just pay the pros and sit back and watch the work get done!

Geoff, be careful with that Sweat Allergy, I have heard that can cause major damage!

I was able to get a 5 ton at Hertz with a Class G. I was utterly shocked when I saw the size of the truck. I went back into the store and questioned the guy to ensure I was legally allowed to drive it...he said definately.

    The bigger the better...less trips.

    Speaking of U-haul..

Geez, the last time I moved they really pissed me off. I needed a large truck and wanted to reserve. They told me you can reserve, but you are not guaranteed to get the truck you reserved because they have no idea what will be on their lot in advance. I was dumb founded...I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode.

Let me suggest that if you go the Free Beer route that you move your most valuable stuff to the front of the line to be moved. I doubt you want the antique china set that your Grandma left you being moved last by a bunch of hooligans that have just polished off 2 cases of beer.

Hoolio, standard rules of free friendship moving should apply....... keep beer in cold location, locked, inaccessible till move is completed. Preferable the first thing hoisted into the truck!

Never rent from Uhaul... they're an evil company... when i moved from belleville to ottawa i wanted a 14 foot truck at 8am in belleville.... what i got was a 24' foot truck at 3pm in trenton... the truck was out of gas and nobody could tell me how much gas i would need to put in it to make it to ottawa... so $180 in gas later i was on my way... as I was pulling into my new building the truck broke down... and they couldnt send anyone out to fix it until the next day.. so i had to unload it and haul everything into the building from the driveway...

If ThoTho rented from uhaul... i can't even imagine the stories that would bring
    Scott - Golf...Fail.
