A $10 head (OEM???) + $10 shaft, + $3 grip, + $.50 ferrule = $188. Add shipping and the total will exceed $200. But that leaves NOTHING for the clubmaker.

    You're joking, right?

Yep. This was just a joke. I have had 3 offers already from my 'joke'. If you don't want to help me, fine.

What is your definition of 1/2 inch over. 7 iron 37 inches standard or 36.5 standard.

36.25 is what I was thinking actually...However, he is over 6'3 so the longer, the better!

36.25 may be too short as most standard off the shelf 7 irons are 37 inches, a wrist to floor measurement will help to be a little more accurate.

If anyone already has a set where the clubs are the length you want, then getting $200 is reasonable. But, remember, your words were "Build me a set," and an OEM at that, and to ask someone to build you a set versus just add extensions, for "nothing," is unreasonable. A new OEM set could cost over $600 to $1000 and a good component set would cost $350 just for the parts, just to put things in perspective. I am sure, however, you will get what you pay for, but if they work for the person for whom you are making the request, then all the better. Good luck.

BC we are not supposed to thread crap. Your first reply to DNA was putting down what he is looking for, instead of offering any substance.
Any of us here on this forum can buy or sell at any price, and can ask for anything, whether it is realistic or not. Thats why some threads get no reply.

Since he said they could be 'used' from the beginning, I have seen many members with sets going for $100-150 as they are just wasting away in a corner, many of longer length, so it is not unreasonable to expect a set for about $200.
I love this site. Lets help when we can, and bite our tongue when we can't. Cheers.

Sorry you missed this, I had a nice set of TaylorMade 200's listed, inch longer for $225 shipped. No one made an offer so I traded them.
Keep watching the For Sales, sooner or later a good set of irons will come up. Also do not be stuck on OEM irons. I play with Wishon's and they are as solid as any from the OEM's
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
