    Comfortable Golf Shoes

What are the most comfortable golf shoes on the market. It is not Nike!

Callaway XTT Precision's feel like slippers. They're $250 but well worth the cost for the shoe you get. I've never felt a more comfortable golf shoe.

Notwithstanding my problems with my last two pairs, my Ecco's are really comfy. Before them I wore Adidas, and probably still would be if the Tour 360s weren't so fugly.

I got the Etonic Men's Dri-cushion Saddle from SportChek, two weeks ago on sale for $40. Looks like they're still available for $50.
Felt great after one round of golf, much better than the Footjoy I had.

Don't be so down on Nike. What specific brand models have you used? I bought the Nike Sp-7's and couldn't rave more about a supportive yet cushioned ride.
Besides those I recommend Oakley's. Not as well known or popular, but their neck-tye 2.0's are like slippers for my feet. Have two pair.

Has anyone tried out the Footjoy GelFusion II shoes yet? I cant find a decent review on them and I found a pretty good ebay auction for a pair.

    Sharkhark: I have 2006 SP-5. I hate the sole.
Scottycameron and Covanant: Going to Chuck Brown's this PM. Will look for the FootJoy DryJoy Pros. Went to CB's. Thay do not carry DryJoy Pros.

Appreciate suggestions. I now change my shoes after 9 holes otherwise the second nine is misery.

Depends on your foot shape and characteristics, a properly trained salesperson can make a huge difference whether you get the right shoe for you. I used Adidas for the past two years and hated them, but I'd bought them after only a walk around the store. This time I spent some time trying on various brands with a salesperson and ended up with FootJoy Contours. They've been a hundred times better for me than the Adidas were, but that doesn't mean they were bad shoes, they were just bad for me.

Very good point. It's well worth the time spent trying various pairs on to see which feel best for your foot type.

Some of us freaks of nature don't enjoy the luxury of having multiple brands/models of shoe in our size, even at a Golftown.

When are they going to learn, 14 is the new 11.5

Why is this so predictable? All I know is I have played 300 rounds the past two years, most of them walking and all of them while wearing BITES. So for me they are good shoes.

Prospector Hiking sandals, roomy (AND ADJUSTABLE), lets your feet breathe, great stability with these hiking model, little rubber squares all around the edge at the bottom, like snow tires sorta.

Most people refer to them as Wet Joys though, dunno why?

Because I remember you raving about them before. Nothing negative, just bugging you.

Well I rave about them simply because they are comfortable to wear. Plus the two year warranty is bullet proof. I have had a replacement pair sent to me directly by Bite Canada. Before I sent my old ones to them, not many companies are going to do that for you.
I was told to get wider golf shoes and these are the only ones I have found so far. So I sure won't rave about Foot Joys or Etonics or whatever cause I don't wear them!

The big issue is to make sure whatever shoe you buy fits properly. I was watching TGC one night and they had a guy on from Foot Joy. He was showing the proper fit for golf shoes, I bet far too many golfers do not wear a properly fitting shoe.

I had a pair of Etonics a couple years ago and could hardly get around the course without bloody blisters. They never fit my feet right. Now I swear by my addidas...Next pair might be the stylin' 360's.

Ha! just read this now... I am so sick of there not being 1/2 sizes after 12 (Or that they seem to be hard to find). I am a 12 and a 1/2 but Its always the battle between a "small 13" or a "big 12" I remember looking for basketball shoes in 13. They were gone the day they came into the store...I was always puzzled by that. How many guys who were willing to pay $200+ for basketball shoes were likely to have size 9 feet??

I am into year 2 of my Callaways, and they are just getting better. Hoolio, whats on your dogs these days? All the rounds you pound into them, they must be good.

I switched both pairs to Footjoy LT's and they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. If you are going to the states or have friends you can pick them up for $70 or less at TGW.com. Beats the $200 at GT!
