What is your favorite snack on the links?

Mine is a joe louis and a pepsi. It goes down so smooth. Slight nibble on the joe louis, big swig from my 2L plastic bottle. I also like to listen to Kenny Loggins as I golf. Have resorted to wearing my IPOD while I play. Focus is amaizing when Kenny is belting away!

My fave is now a turkey sandwich and banana. Moving away from the hot dog and beer. Finding more energy that way.
    PS
Loggins sounds a little dated for me, but since he did do that danger zone song for top gun (unfortunately I was called goose for several yrs after) and did I'm alright for caddyshack the best golf movie ever, gotta give the 80's king some props.

Most sensible and healthy golf snack mentioned so far.
Hot Dogs, they are evil, bad for you. Chocolate bars, same thing. Take some nuts with you, or granola bars and lots of water.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

But there are nuts in an oh henry or snickers, and milk in the chocolate. As far as powerade goes, blue is a fruit, isn't it?

A buddy of mine won't eat anything on the golf course unless its easy on the stomach(bananas, nuts, etc). He read somewhere that eating sandwiches, hotdogs, high sugar foods will draw too much blood to the stomach for digestion and could affect the mental game. I guess beer would count as easy on the stomach.

Gatorade/Powerade and a sandwich all topped off with a Snickers after 9. And if it is like this week a couple gallons of water all along the way.

Peanut butter or egg salad sandwich made at home on FLAX bread only. Banana or peach if available.
3 or 4 Gatorade 710ml mixed half with water to dilute it, then frozen, plus an extra one of just water frozen, in case my playing partner is parched and ready to faint before the cart comes around. Sometimes homemade cookies or a Zero bar (NOTE: Must be eaten before leaving, will melt in golf bag, not in your hands, LOL). Rarely I will have some chips if I think my sodium level is too low. I find that helps hold onto "a bit" of water instead of sweating it out faster than I can replenish it.

    Snacks + Liquids

    - Granola bars (2)
    - Water 1.5L
    - Gatorade (2-500ml)

I can not eat anything else during the game due allergies. Plus, I have to eat 3-4 hours before a game.

This is true, digestion does divert blood from the rest of your body, but that might be a good thing. I've played some of my best golf while sick with a cold or even better, a hangover.
    Thinkin' only hurts the team.
