This is the exact reason why when I began to upgrade my bag, the first thing I bought was an Odyssey putter.

There is where a post should be centered around. $400 drivers or putters....which will make a bigger impact on your card. You hit a driver 10-14 times a round (or once in 72 holes if you want to win the British Open) but you hit your putter 28 to 36 times a round depending on the day and your game.

I don't even want to get into the "Tour players using them" because they are CUSTOM MADE for each player. They are NOT what you pick up off the shelf at GolfTown so your example is nullified by default. Perhaps you can say Cameron has the best custom shop for Tour players. I think that might be a more accurate statement.

For a while Ernie Els did use a OTR SS newport.. Mind you he then got a GSS made by scotty but he did roll with an OTR for a while..

I think the real reason Thotho started this thread was so he could see Edmonton golfer get all bent out of shape again and make it a personal vendetta to deter Scotty Cameron use for reasons unknown to all but himself???

Just because I have an opinion about the Cameron putters, doesn't mean I get bent out of shape on the topic. I have no personal vendetta towards Cameron., I just think it's hilarious the reasons that people give for owning them. Thotho makes VERY valid points and I happen to agree with him. Nobody will ever be able to say they bought a Cameron putter because the technology behind them and hand craftsmanship(bahahah, made on a production line) is better than any other high end putter. 'Nuff said.
