WSOP Update!

Hey guys,

for those that are glued to cardplayer.com watching live updates, or anxiously waiting for the latest episode of the circuit, this is for you.

Local boy Nick Charman (my roommate) is down playing the WSOP as we speak. He is an internet pro, and has won a 10K main event seat. He decided to go down and buy into a few of the cheaper events this week.

His first event was the 2K NL Hold'em whcih lasted all of 6 hands LOL ...

But the real story is that he is 10th in chips in the 1,500$ Razz event with only 40 players left in the field. He has a great shot at a final table appearance on ESPN, and even the braclet (Which comes with about 140K in cash)!

So if you're checking out the live updates today, they are resuming play in Razz @ 7PM EST, keep an eye out for Nick Charman!

He'll also be playing in the Limit Hold'em Shoot out on Monday (he should be, unless he's too tired from winning the Razz braclet ) ... so keep an eye on himin that one aswell .

Good luck, however online poker is becoming more and more of a scam.
Guys who are very organized get together and conference call one another at the same table to rip off unsuspecting players.

Yup, some of my friends have told me they've done it themselves. That's one of the reasons I will never play online for cash. Play money only for this guy, and the odd little cash game with some friends.

Ahhhh, sandbaggers are everywhere...

I would NEVER play online for real money. These sites generate more than enough cashflow from sheer traffic alone, and from big sponsorships. If I'm playing for money I'm doing it face to face. (sunglasses optional)
