Well, it is really a gaming computer now, more than it was before as a gaming station, but .... with solid Asustek hardware behind it, Sony should put the xbox 360 in the dust, LOL.

Of course I am not a gamer, so what do I know.

I sure am wondering how the recent Sony rootkit scandal will play in this, and whether they are stupid enough to try it again and put a rootkit in the ps3.

Right now, Xbox360 is infinitely better than the PS3, since you can buy the 360 today and the PS3 is still vapourware.

There has been a lot of info coming out on limitations in the processor for the PS3 which does not bode well for it. If the game performance isn't very, very close or better than the 360, Sony is in for a rough ride.

Ouch, that hurts for sure. No wonder game consoles are a shrinking market. I feel that somehow Sony thinks making it more like a computer is better, but the critics are not in agreement.
