guys & gals,
I put this together, so we can keep track of the bragging rights.
It is a zipped Excel file and only requires that the leaderboard be pasted in.
Later,
C.Back at it.

Good job.
I've got a bunch of guys who are finished at either -3 or -4. Looking good for me.

Ok, so I must be a royal cut and paste spaz today because I can't seem to match my "cut" with the paste area.
Anybody else less spaztic than me want to give an update?

jvincent, you are at 705 in 10th right now but it's not done yet for today. I am at 699 or tied for 2nd ;-)
Actually, correction, it looks like Steve (noback) has David toms who isn't playing.....that will mess things up.

I'm counting on my guys to all make the weekend. I have three people over par which isn't too bad I guess.
I never bothered to check, how do people who don't make the cut get scored for the last two rounds?
-

Not that I'm likely going to win, but on that spreadsheet, it says I picked the low round of the tourney @ 69, but I posted 64

check the 2nd page Sakuraba...it is right there but isn't being brought over correctly onto the 3rd summary page. If someone doesn't make the cut, they get the high round for that day (Sat/Sun).

Great idea with the spreadsheet. Although it showed my tie breakers wrong. Read you guys talking about not transferring to 3rd page properly?
Is that whats happening?
anyhow though it is really cool!!!!"Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual"

I should have read the rules more closely, seems like the goal is to pick 10 guys who are going to make the cut. Sure we all picked 10 guys we thought would do the best but some are a bit more risky (dark horse), inconsistent or whatever. What I should have done was pick the 10 guys I thought had the best chance of making the cut because if you pick a guy that doesn't make the cut and are forced to take the worst score of the day... you are screwed.. probably wont matter if you pick 1st 2nd and 3rd right.
If I had to redo it I would pick players who have never missed a cut at the open... is this offically my excuse for not winning the pool?? YOU BET!!! HAHAHA
(I actually took that into account when I picked my team, so really the excuse isn't valid... but still a good one )

Mmmm. I am not a good excel user. I seem to have chad Campbell in red in there. Didn't pick him. ?? Help! Is a withdrawl the same as not making the cut?? I guess likely.

Winners from Round 1:
Sharkhark, Indio, scottycameron, & jeffc - start bragging! (but not too much there are still 3 more rounds).
I have updated the file a little, but not much.
Now to answer some questions.
In Sharkhark's original post it was the responsiblity of the "picker" to make sure that all their players were actually playing. To players are not playing in the Open from the original list "David Toms" and "Trevor Immelman".
Some people choose Immelman then switched in a later post - which I have taken into account. little brit and No Back unfortunately didn't make the switch from Toms in time. The penalty was that the last place player in that group was picked.
Shivas chose Daly who was not on the list - penalty get the last player in the 3 group. (If he was on the list I would have choosen him also.)
mpare did not choose enough players so the last player in group 3 was choosen to round out his roster.
The tie breakers on the "Output" sheet are (now) the absolute difference of your pick less the final outcome. So "Richard", Thom and BirdieMan picked Tiger's opening round exactly correct so on the output sheet it shows a zero.
I figured to start with we shouldn't be as penal as a missed the cut (+16 ouch).
Any problems with the method we can discuss it ... as "Richard" goes on and on about how he is "in the mind of the Tiger" because he picked his first round score exactly .... blah... blah ... (need to have the most posts ever) ... blah ...Back at it.
