Open Pool Bragging Rights!
So I saw a pool on the TGN site, but since I don't have confidence in it being fixed (they want people to contribute a sleeve of high end balls each) so I thought hey, why not do the same here, but with no prize except BRAGGING RIGHTS!
So using their same format, everyone here fill out the following choices. Make your replies right here to the thread. It has alot of choices, so hopefully it won't be too complicated once open is over, to figure out who the heck had the best choices.
Cheers! Shark
Each Participant's roster will have 10 players in total from the rankings below. The winner will be the participant with the lowest total score of all ten players after all four rounds.Any player on your roster that misses the cut will be give the same score as the worst round of the day.If two or more participants are tied after four rounds the tie breakers below will come into affect, starting with tie breaker #1 then to #2 then to # 3
Make sure all your player picks will be playing!! This is your responsibility!!!

After carefully weighing in all the calculations, the alignment of the stars to plant Pluto and Mars, the weather conditions, the course conditions and the Who's Your Daddy Factor I pick
Group 1
Jimmy Furyk (cause he is DUE)
Group 2
Trever Immelman ( he is just plain good) Little Brit says he is out, wife having baby, no excuse for missing The Open Championship but whatever! So I will slot in Big Ernie here as I need a South African player.
Paddy Harrington (again, he is due)
Group 3
Nick O'Hearn (As long as he doesn't break his broomstick putter )
Paul Casey (lots of pressure being a Limey)
Darren Clark (This guy has to win a Major sooner or later)
Group 4
Zach Johnson (Don't laugh, remember Ben Curtis?)
Miquel A Jimenez (get rid of the PONY TAIL Miquel )
Mike Weir (We all remember him, he won the Masters once)
Lucas Glover ( again, Ben Curtis)
I would have picked Philly Mick as my #1 man, but he has a hard time controlling his ball in the wind and can't hit it as low as he needs to over there.
So let the winds blow hard, the fairways and greens are already baked like beans at the Zurich Bean Festival! There is going to be some goofy bounces and the man who can accept those and move forward will be the man to beat.Last edited by Golfbum; 07-19-2006 at 07:12 AM.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
