Anything on this yet? Did you guys play the final match?
Officially, there are only 4 days left before the allocated time period for the final match ends.
What happens if that happens? Do Das Nuts and MPare faceoff since they were the runner ups?Proud member of the 2009 Ryder Cup winning team

Definitely not after the round I posted at Rideau View. I'm down to a 5.0 as of now, and since I wont be home to enter the 3 rounds I'll be playing between now and the match I guess that is where I will stay.

Judging by his response, how about what hole you offer to buy him a beer!

After a good round today my index is down to 5.3. Fortunately, that still leaves me with one hole where I get a stroke. Phew!
Looking forward to tomorrow's match.

I've got some advice for both of you. Pray to end up with a shot at the green @ 12, don't slice on 13, and the water on 15 comes in a lot farther than you think.

Well its over folks and I'm not the one holding the trophy. Mike finished me off 3&2.
I'm pretty sure I hit ever shot in the book today, as I was using a slightly compact swing because I decided to belly flop onto my girlfriends parents floor last night when we got in from the bar. I woke up this morning and thought I had broken a rib. Oddly enough it was the only club that didnt hurt to swing that cost me. I 4 putted the 15th green from about 20 ft. It was stellar!
I thought I might have still had a chance when the Bar Cart came around the first time but I was not shelling out for more than one $5.00 beer (or was it $5.25?)
Anyway great tourny, hope we can do it again next year.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

Congrats Mike, well done. And good job for making it as far as you did hoolio. Next time though, try to belly flop onto something softer.

It was a fun match and it was a pleasure playing with/against Hoolio (aka. Ryan) despite the fact that it took us almost five and a half hours to complete our round. I'm sure the result would have been different had it not been for Hoolio's unfortunate belly flop incident the night before. Ouch!
Suffice it to say that each of us played some holes really well and some holes... not so well. Generally though, holes were won with pars or birdies. I think our best ball score for the 16 holes of the match would have been about 2-over, but our worst ball score was probably approaching 18-over!
I was more than a little concerned when Hoolio won holes 2, 4 and 5 to go 2-up. I'm not sure that the fact that I was 8-over for those 3 holes made me feel better or worse!
After that though, I got things turned around and was par or better on the next 9 holes. For me, the big turn-around hole was #14. I was 1-up and looking at a 15-footer for par after a mediocre chip. Hoolio had a 25-30 footer for birdie but he came up short leaving him a testy par putt. I was fortunate enough to drain my par putt and then Hoolio missed his par attempt. Instead of being all-square with 4 holes to go I was 2-up.
Thanks to:

- Dan for providing the prizes.
- Geoff for suggesting the tournament in the first place!
I'm looking forward to next year's tournament... Hmmm, does this mean I get the #1 seed?
