The OAC on lancaster.
Ottawa Athletic Club 2525 Lancaster Road Ottawa, ON, K1B 4L5 (613) 523-1540
Ask for Joe Debinsky
Its $500 and its unlmited use of the facilities from what i heard. They have nets to hit into, they have a putting green as well. 9am-9pm on weekdays and 9am-6pm on weekdays.
There are 10 cpga pros on staff and there is always someone there to help you with whatever you need help with. They will be helping anyone who is there who needs help so its not 1-1 time. Also, the $500 includes 2 video swing analysis. Best deal I've ever heard of

I second Joe Dubinski. He helped me and he was a great instructor. He worked with what you have as a swing and didn't try to make a total overhaul. And when he does show you something he tries to find a way to relate to you so you understand as opposed to getting all technical.

They're letting you have a lesson there with him? I thought pros were only allowed to teach at the course/range where they were associated with.

He must have moved. My lesson wasn't all that long ago and he was at Raceview/Falcon Ridge. Regardless, have fun with him covanant. He's a really good guy. Hope he tapes your swing. You probably won't believe what it looks like. Quite an eye opener for sure. Good luck.

Hey B. Find out if he's still working for the OAC. I have a 15% off coupon if you want it.

Joe used to work at Kanata so he may still have privileges there.

So what's the final word on Joe teaching at Kanata?
He and Mike from the OAC come highly recommended and if Joe is now close as Kanata then I've finally run out of excuses for not getting help with my massive casting/over-the-top/glancing-blow problem.

And yeah, there are no more excuses for not getting a lesson (you know who you are).

I had my lesson with Joe today.
Great guy,good teacher
Started off by tweaking my grip a bit on the upper hand.Tweaked my ball position a little, worked on my back swing alot! And finnaly the follow through and finish was really tweaked!
May take some getting used to but left there after hitting 2 of the nicest 6 irons i have ever hit!
Very highly recommended,i will go back for more soon, only did an hour with him today, but noticable chang in my swing allready.Dirty...Mean...And Mighty Unclean.

Good to see it went well. Now the hard part, sticking with what he told you. That's what I found to be the hardest part, keeping with the changes. But once you practice some and it becomes second nature I'm sure your game will come around just great.

I find the hardest thing to do is remember what you have been told to do. Even if you're at the range and understand the swing mechanics and notice you are doing something wrong, it's hard to remember to do what you fix or noticed the time before.

try going out to Target Golf Centre, located 3 km south of Bank and Leitrim. Call them at 613-822-9141 and ask for a 1/2 price single lesson, all with video and golf simulator.
