Instant Chat?

Has the forum (you) ever considered making a Forum Instant Message (Chat) option available in here? It would be so much easier than PM's back and forth when negotiating either sales or trying to setup golf rounds.

Just a thought that flew through my feeble mind....

GEA has a chat that I use quite a bit. I've used it with a few OG members to finalize deals rather than the telephone.

Dan, if you implement this you may want to add an option in the menu that pops up when you click a user id to "invite user to chat". Since you can detect if the user is online or not, this would popup a "balloon" on the receiving PC that asks you to accept the chat invitation or refuse it. Sort of like Messenger...

Skype is another very useful vehicle that would allow you to speak to about 6 or 7 friends at the same time while browsing this site without interruption. A number of us used to get together during winter to play golf on the Net while speaking to one another through this conference call feature. It worked wonderfully well. And best of all, Skype is available around the globe for free. I once spoke to someone in China who wanted to practice his English.
