    Google earth is awesome!

So i've been using this to go over game plans and ways to attack these courses I'll be playing in ottawa. I did it for a few courses in toronto and I played really well, some of my best rounds this year. I just messure from the tee box to where I need to be in order to have a decent second shot to the hole. Sometimes a 5i will do just a good as a 3u and its so much easier to hit and more accurate. Infact I couldn't find anywhere on a course that I played where it was benifical for me to use a 3u or 4u instead of my trusty 5i. There are par 5's where I assume I need to crank it down the fairway as far as I can.. for what? so i have a shorter layup shot? Why lay up with a pw after hitting a driver, 4w, 3u or 4w when you can just hit a 5i and then messure what club you need from there to your layup spot, walk away with a par Also, it doesn't hurt to get extra familiar with the course before getting there, which is exactly what you are doing by "mapping" it out. Also, you can help but visualize the shot if you've already played the course a few times.

Next up, glen mar, stone bridge, irish hills, and mountain creek Don't need to do manderly since Dan has that couse mapped on his GPS already
