Golf Shoes or Not?
I wear a pair of Bite golf shoes w/ soft spikes, love them, quite helpful when I lived on the wet coast. Helped me on more then a few shots w/ traction. Do most people here have golf shoes or do they use whatevers comfortable.

Black Widow
I always wear golf shoes. Better traction, easier walking, better support for your feet and definitely drier. I have 3 pair in the rotation - Reebok, Dexter Dry Sports and FootJoy Dry Joys. I replaced the spikes with Black Widow soft spikes which give great traction.

Always wear golf shoes
I have two pairs, although I use one pair far more than the other. I ususally wear my Bite shoes - they are spikeless, waterproof (great for early morning tee times), and since they look like regular hiking shoes I usually wear them to the course (no changing shoes while standing up!). I also have a pair of Adidas that I use once in a while, if I think the course is dry.

Foot Joy's here too. Also have "Black Widows" which are great. You need the shoes.......no question about it.

Definately!
I have had several pair of different brands and I like the Dry Joys & Black Widows combo best.
Forgetting your shoes can spoil your day.

Sometimes
I only wear golf shoes when it might be a bit wet. Otherwise, regular runners with a little bit of traction. They are more comfortable for sure.
I am a very good golfer but not a hard swinger, so I rarely find my feet slipping or spinning.

Golf Shoes
Golf shoes are a must, especially for the big hitters. When your in the tee box swinging away without shoes you can slip and off goes the ball in no man's land. If you don't have any, BUY some!
Lots of yoga pants these days, not enough Yoga!

Golf Shoes or Not?
A good pair of golf shoes will be comfortable to walk in, I walk and carry, they will keep your feet dry, and certainly provide more traction than regular footwear. Rotate 2-3 pairs.
As Golfdoc says; he doesn't swing hard and has excellent results. Don't let golf shoes give you a false sense of security, thinking you can swing harder. Golfing once in a while with 'no tread' shoes is good practice, but be carefull. Explaining to your buddies as to why you're on your butt could be tough to explain.
A good pair of golf shoes. Well worth the investment.Tee it up, knock it down the middle.

definately shoes!
I couldnt agree with you guys more!!
Ever since i played golf for the first time a long time ago, and wrenched my ankle trying to kill the ball, i haven't worn anything but spikes. I wouldnt dream of not wearing them, especially around here. If anyone is looking for spikes, check out the Adidas series(Z Traxion, 3 Stripes), I love mine, very comfortable, and i frequently have 5+ hour rounds.

Gotta have the footwear!
I have two pair of dunlop white saddle for rotating with long pants, One pair of oxblood for the dressy days and nike runners for the shorts, all with black widdows. There's nothing better for a golf swing than a good base.
