What is up with Duval?

Just saw some of the scores posted on TGC. Duval shot a 68 today. What????? I hope the Duval of recent times has gone away for good and he gets back to the level we are used to seeing him at. After today's round, I will be rooting on Duval throughout the weekend. Would love to see him make a run at the Open.

The cynical theory would be that the pending expiry of the 5 year exemption he got for winning the British Open in 2001 has focused him somewhat. Like a hockey/basketball/baseball/football player in a contract year.

I'm glad to see him back playing well though, he was a great player once and I can't imagine what he's gone/going through to get back there.

I personally am going to have to root for him after he made the second half of my fool's prediction come true. You've gotta give him credit though. Not just a 74-74, but a 77-68. A 68 is not just a good round, that is an incredible round. Good for him.

Ridiculous round considering scoring avg; I'm glad he did it on day 2 so we can see if he does it again; not too little too late.

He was -4 for the day until I commented on it and whammied him. He made a double minutes later. Either way, pretty damn good shooting.
