    World Cup Pools

    Who's in one, and who did you pick ...

    No surprises in the 1st game, but it was nice to see Germany drop in 4 goals that's a lot of points for my pools, got off too a great start in 3/4 pools I entered with that game.

    Just watched the 2nd game , good result , but i don't see any finalists there. The matches over the weekend are going to be awesome, who cares about the weather, when you can watch this much football/soccer. Oh i'm 1 for 1 in my pool. Rooneys back ,come on England.

    Pools, Schmools. England is taking it all. Mark it down now. Rooney will steal the show, Gerrard and Lampard will shine, and the world will FINALLY forget about Beckham. For once, skill and balanced play will win the Cup, rather than the disgraceful diving of the Brazilians. Sorry for the rant, but I'm so looking forward to the English mopping the floor in about 6 hrs time.

    What a great game from Trinidad and Tobago. Starting goalie injured in warmup, and his replacement puts in the performance of a lifetime. On top of that, they lose a man a minute into the second half and have to finish the game with 10 men. Not only did they manage to hold off the Swedes, the almost managed to squeek out a win. All of this from the smallest nation to ever field a world cup squad? Wow, what a game, and what a story. Should be great to watch them against England, but hopefully they don't play quite as well. Two days into the world cup, and already a 6 goal game and an incredible upset. This is going to be a WICKED month.
