Strange ball flight
Okay, yesterday at Cartier I noticed something strange on a few approach shots. I was hitting knuckleballs. The ball actually moved like a knuckleball while it was in the air. Never had that happen before. I went through a mental checklist:
A- I was sober
B- There was no sun in my eyes
C- I had a good night's sleep
So what I saw was real. It was still going where it was supposed to go, but what was I doing to cause this?????Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

I doubt it was the wind. The ball you were using was probably out of roundness. I remember a couple years ago a Montreal pro showed me this little gadget to check roundness. He would discard the not so perfect ones. You can even witness something similar with old range balls. The shot starts off as fade and all the sudden veers into a hook in mid air. Where can I buy those balls

I was using used Pro V1's. Maybe you're right, I was using the same one since the 4th hole, and this was happening on the back 9.

That's not uncommon with used golfballs; funny you say that about used titleists, I watched my buddy hit one off the tee and it did the same thing.

If there was water on the ball/clubface that could give you a knuckleball as well because of the lack of spin.

I have had that the odd time. kinda curves in air one way, then back then lands where it was supposed to. Don't have a clue why.
Although I also play the prov's?"Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual"

I play used Pro V1x's and I have never had that happen to me. I have seen it with a range ball but not a Prov. If you are in doubt of your ball, have someone else hit it, if it does the same thing then you know it is the ball, otherwise you my have made a poor swing with to many faults for the ball to react to!!!
