I guess it might be her last few holes as her first round begins at 8:35 a.m. on the South Course at Canoe Brook, NJ then she will be the last to tee off in the second 18 on the North.
36 grueling holes it will be interesting to see how she does.
Also look at the amount of good players trying to qualify in Columbus, Ohio at Brookside G. & C.C. / Lakes G.&C.C.
Should also be interesting who qualifies:
Aaron Baddeley
Daniel Chopra
John Daly
Joe Durant
Brad Faxon
Steve Flesch
Robert Gamez
Jason Gore
Nathan Green
Jay Haas
Charley Hoffman
J B Holmes

The PGATour.com guy following her said she's extremely tentative on her putts. Hitting fairways though, just missed two I think. She shot a 35 and over a dozen other players hit a 31.

Wow! Chips in for birdie on 18! -2 going into the second round. Solid start.
Go Michelle!!When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Oops! Is it a par or birdie?? TGC has the scorecard showing 18 as a par-4, but the play-by-play says par-5 chip in for bird from 50 feet?

Ahhhh. Now it's fixed. Pitched in from 40 yards for a birdie 3...
Either way, go Wiesy!!When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

This afternoon is where the separation starts. It's a longer, tougher course.

At least she doesn't have to come up with a new speech.
I have heard this many many times before.
Quote from Wie "Obviously, I'm disappointed I didn't make it," she said. "I'm satisfied with the way I tried. I played my hardest out there." ."Chicks dig me, because I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual"

Good for her, i can't even begin to comprehend the kind of pressure she feels trying to qualify for an even like the U.S. Open!! Christ she's going to be good.

Oh well. No doubt she's talented, and will most likely have several similar chances to qualify in the future. Just goes to show you that the critics were right; experience was the only thing missing from her game.
On a more important note, anyone notice that local pro BRAD FRITSCH qualified in a playoff? 5 guys (including 2 notable PGA Tour members), 1 spot...and Fritschy comes out on top! AWESOME STUFF! Can't wait to watch him at Winged Foot!

WAY TO BRAD!! I believe he's still a member at Rideau View in Manotick. He was just about shaking last night in his GC interview as it started sinking in about what had been accomplished.
AWESOME

A nice feather in the cap for both Brad & Rideauview. Nice to see a local boy make it.

I dont think the people on this forum have given Brad the recognition he deserves...not sure if any of you have picked up the Ottawa Sun this morning but there are 2 outstanding and quite uplifitng stories about Brad...
Here are some quotes in pulled from the stories written by Chris Dtevenson and Don Brennan...
"The Manotick pro, showing some incredible grit yesterday, is going to become the first area golfer to tee it up in one of golf's majors as he won a two-hole playoff to earn the last exemption into next week's U.S. Open at Winged Foot."
" I was one of the two people who walked all 36 holes in the Brad Fritsch-James Driscoll-Edward Kirby gallery. And it turned out to be the most exciting experience I believe I've ever had at a sports event."
"Alas, he'll have to settle for a spot in the U.S. Open, and recognition as the author of the best golf story Ottawa has ever known -- and the greatest sports story produced by one of your native sons in a long, long time."

Wonder how Kevin "listen to me everybody" Haime feels about Brad now being the "author of the best golf story Ottawa has ever known"
