TaylorMade TP Golf Balls
If anyone is interested, they have the TaylorMade TP golf balls in stock at Golftown, think they only received about 9 dozen of each.

How much are they asking, i'm assuming 59 bucks a doz. I'll wait until Knet has some and get some used Grade A's.

I just left a GT in Kitchener (hour west of TO for those that don't know) and they had both black and red in stock, $59 I believe.

TP balls
I would not mind getting my hands on a sleeve of each to see if they live up to the hype. Shelling out $60 for a dozen balls that I have not tried before kind of rubs me the wrong way. Anyone bought some here and would like to sell a sleeve of each?
Let me know

TP balls
I was at Tommy and Lefebvre in gatineau and tyhe one on bank has them also. All T&L will get them soon but a strtegy from TM forbid them from selling sleeves. So you want to try them, you have to buy all 12. Kind of cheasy as you can buy sleeves of ProV. Anyway I will wait and see if I can get 4 guys together to buy a sleeve each of the red and the black.

can you guys actually tell the difference between $60ball and $20 balls? I can't... but then again, I suck

I'm tempted to try them but I'm not good enough to be playing such expensive balls. It'll be like rolling up $5 bills, putting them on the tee, and watching me drive it into the water.

TM Balls
SO with Scotty , John and me that's 3 for a dozen so we would only need a fourth one. I would like to try the red as they are supposedly softer. Who's in.

tp
I went on the taylor made site and the difference between the blacks and red seems to be the lainch angle. The blacks hit higher than the red which has a more penetrating flight. I am easy too so blk or red????

Let's go with red. They're geared for more tour characteristics and since we're all prostars i think we should give them a try!

TP Balls
Here is the difference between the blk and red...
TP Red and TP Black Performance Differences Explained
The difference in performance between the TP Red and TP Black is a result of their different core diameters and mantle thicknesses. The TP Red incorporates a larger core (1.510" diameter) and thinner mantle (.055" thick) compared to the TP Black's smaller core (1.480" diameter) and thicker mantle (.070" thick).
The TP Red's larger core and thinner mantle promotes a low spin-rate off the driver and a slightly lower, tour-like launch angle off every club in the bag, which promotes increased control. Likewise, the thinner mantle promotes a slightly softer sound and feel.
Conversely, the TP Black's thicker mantle permits the ball to slide up the clubface a fraction at impact for a higher launch angle, while the thicker mantle and smaller core work together to promote an even lower rate of driver-spin. That combination of higher launch angle and lower spin-rate helps promotes increased carry and distance.
Based on that I would prefer red......

I'll see if I can get my hands on some out here in Alberta. I don't mind shipping them or paying for shipping if someone finds these before I do.
They say they rank up next to the ProV1's. I'm very interested to see how accurate their statements are on this.

If we can't find a fourth i don't mind taking six of them at 30 bones plus tax.

I have three cases. Two TP Red and one TP Black. PM me if you're interested in a sleeve or not.
Thanks
