Anyone else think they have a gorgeous swing?

Anyone else think they have a gorgeous swing? I’ve been working on my swing the last few weeks and it’s fantastic. Great tempo! It doesn’t look as mechanical as it did a few weeks ago. A lot more natural now. I watched a few clips of Ernie Els swinging on the golf channel and I think to myself, wow… his swing is almost as nice as mine! Anyone else video tape them selves swinging and think.. WOW? What does this mean?? Nothing because I still suck! How can my swing look and feel so good when I'm swning but the ball not go where I want it to or do what I want it to ??

I wouldn't go as far to say yours is as nice as Ernie's. His is so fluid looks like he could fall asleep while swinging. But I agree you have a nice even tempoed swing. I don't want to see my swing on tape, I know I take a violent lash at the ball. Not pretty, but when I'm on (which seems like an eternity ago) it gets the job done.

Don't pull a muscle patting yourself on the back! LOL!

I golfed on Wednesday morning with a marshal, and he told me to try and slow down my swing. When I did he said I have a nice swing. But man I lost about 20 yards in distance.

Geoff, your swing is unique. So sexy on the back swing and then so violent on the downswing. Me and bobby saw your first swing and were like.. wtf! and then we focused on the ball and were like... WTF!!

You should see my apt in toronto. The carpet is so messed up right now. I pull out my gap wedge when I wake up and I swing it about 50 times. The carpet is raised and falling apart in a nice little strip down my tarket line. When the carpet is pretty much dead I move on to a new spot.

PS I didn't fall asleep while swinging but right after my 50 swings last night I jumped into bed and fell asleep.. does that count?

Donny I can't pat myself on the back anymore, my arms are getting to big and I can barely reach back there. Im' going to have to get married soon just so I have someone to wash my back for me in the morning. I refuse to use a lufa on a stick!

Don't know where you come up with your answers but they are quite unique and most of the time quite funny.

I've got a mighty purdy swing when I don't try to kill the thing (and also when I look away to avoid seeing the results thereof). Went out to Greensmere yesterday, and tried a whole round just playing a nice, easy tempoed swing...hit pretty much ever fairway, right down the middle. Also lost some distance, but I think putting it in the fairway was worth it. Boy, am I great or what.

Finally someone who is cocky and not afraid to show it! I'm sure your swing is very purdy but lets be honest, it can't be as nice as mine or ernie's

I was being nice. No one compares. Scary thing is I was 465% better looking five years ago! I golfed the same though.

I have seen myself on tape several times. I have what I would call and "old school" swing, i.e. it's unique, and usually gets the job done.

Since we're also ranking our looks, I look like Ben Stiller, but with more hair.

Modelling is beneath me, and the repercussions would be severe. If the world saw my beauty, they would collectively take an awed gasp, then hide themselves in shame after realizing their inferiority. So not only do I have a gorgeous golf swing, and stunning good looks, but I'm a humanitarian. I'm such a great person its unbelievable.

See, I read that, and was thinking more along the lines of the Anchorman Ben stiller, perhaps even Dodgeball.

Any swing that projects the ball straight down the middle is gorgeous, even if the project-er, doesn't have any hair.

GeeZUS!! This topic went due south in a hurry.

Let me know when it changes back to being about a golf swing, and less about someone being a Smirnoff Swinger.

Tho, tho, I hate to say this but in this case beauty must be in the eye of the beholder. If, as some say, form follows function, then for a golf swing to be truly "beautiful" it should, at the very least, be functional. Intuitively, it is difficult to believe that a swing that is associated with so high a handicap can be beautiful. It certainly isn't producing results. I'm with BC Mist. A beautiful swing is one that gets the ball to its intended target. That's why Furyk, Trevino and "Pipeline" Moe Norman had or have beautiful swings. They aim, they fire and they hit their target. The ugliest swing I had was with my wedges, but I could nail it within 110 yards. Then I was convinced that this wasn't a pretty swing and that I should make it so. I foolishly took the advice. Now I have a hard time hitting a green inside that range. I'm attempting to recapture the "ugly", but truly effective, swing of old. Give me results anytime.

My swing looks like a ditch diggers, But with much more dignity and flowing grace. The last two days I shot even par both days but it was really ugly the way I got there. Man I wish my handicap was in the low thirties so I wouldn't have all this pressure to shoot well all the time then I could concentrate on swinging pretty

Just put on a pair of Under Armour cargos Frank, then you can shoot par and look pretty, and not worry about your swing looking pretty!

I've never seen my swing, but have watched many pros on TV. While I would like to think mine is similar to Greg Norman's, it is more likely a cross between John Daly and Jim Furyk.
