    Exclamation Expensive Lotion

OK guys I might be called cheap but I just got back from purchasing my Watkins lotion for the weekend. The retail price for the tube was 7.95 plus tax--9.15 total BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE. I had to pay 1.00 for parking on their lot and then a 5.00 membership fee to shop in the store Now the product cost 15.15 plus the drive from Orleans. Where was I? Mountain CO-OP on Richnond Rd. Just called LeBaron on Merivale Rd--its 8.40 and they have lots

that membership fee gains you access to the greatest store ever that is neither golf or electronics related. Next time, if you want to save on the parking, park on the little sidestreet between byron and richmond/MEC. there's usually a few spots if its not a saturday.

I've been shopping at MEC for the past 15 years and I love them. The $5 membership fee has not increase over this time and you'll get it back in savings in no time. I think if you spend over $1000 in a year, you get some of it back...some of my friends shop there quite a bit.

I park on the road and never have a problem finding a spot but I don't go there on the weekends...its way too busy.

I hesitate to even say this, but I believe (not positive, its been a while since I've been there) the parking fee is voluntary, to help defray the costs of maintenance. You could be like Homer when he took Lisa to the museum.

There's not much bad you can say about mec, if there was a golf store that operated the same way, I'd shop there.
