Sorry fellas. The purpose of the poll is to break down the two biggest categories from the last poll.

Besides. There's no time limit on this poll. Look at it as a goal. Soon, you'll be here too.

Yup, my personal best of 79 went from good to bad.
First goal... do it somehow other than at Cloverdale on a calm day!
That round included four putting from 10 feet after I had hit the green in reg on the 9th hole. I had 2 putts to par the front. Doh!

The next week things were back to normal and the "zone" was nowhere to be seen

I remember that day very well. Was a tough hole in that putting department. Amazing how the brain cramps up when thinking about scores.

Yup - but the second of those categories is 75-84. Your poll doesn't go that far. My 83 doesn't fit as it's just a smidge above 82. Oh well.

64 at Bearbrook four years ago. Never felt like that on a golf course since. Ground was rock hard and I drove the green #1 ,4, 11, 12, 14 and 17.( all par 4's) Made 3 eagles.
    It was better then ...

Great score. You obviously hit the ball well, BUT, you obviously putted even better.

63 at Carleton Golf & Yacht Club about 1987 using irons only.

64 at Greensmere GC in 2003.

Still trying to shoot my age but have not done it, YET. Will be 60 in September.

Best was a whole bunch of 81s at various courses. For some reason I just can't find two extra strokes to break 80... Might be because I suck.

Shooting a bunch of 81's would indicate that you do not suck. There are plenty of people who would be ecstatic to shoot 81.

If you enjoy the "zen" part of golf try reading Golf for Enlightenment, by Deepak Chopra.
It may rid you of any mental paradigm preventing you from shooting under 80.

Just to make you guys feel even better about your scores, my best is a 95 at Pakenham (Lake-River). But I am proud of it nonetheless since I have only played about 15 rounds of golf all my life.

I can't believe I did not discover until recently how awesome golf is!!!!

Best round was a 85 last year at Pineview from the tips. Only played once this year so far. Went out to mountain Creek this past weekend (very windy) with new clubs and a new driver and managed a decent 96. Did I mention it was windy? Unfortunately I suck so much, that I am unable answer the poll

68 on Predator at Greyhawk. I bogeyed number 1 (easy hole ) and then managed five birdies and all pars for the rest of the round.

Well, it's supposed to be a score on a championship golf course, but there's no way to prevent people from putting in any score they want. If they think it includes par 3 courses (which was not intended), there's no way to stop them.

I think people are honest. Most people are talking about par 71 or par 72 courses, so the graph is valid.

    Best score

68 at Le Vieux Moulins from the back tees two years ago. Two bogeys, four birdies and an eagle, the rest pars. Still trying to beat that since. I have seen it done last year, a guy in my group shot 67 also from the back.

My best round so far is a 69 in my Club Championship last year at Fort William Country Club in Thunder Bay. It was the first round and i made 7 birdies, 2 bogies and a double. The funny part was that I doubled the first hole of the day, which is a par 5 that can be got to in two if you place your tee shot in the right place. I was just hitting my irons amazing that day, out of the 7 birdies, the longest putt was from 12 feet! I hit 14 greens with only 27 putts. Was a nice round to shoot, but not so nice was the second day of the tourney where is "choked" under the pressure of overnight leader and shot 76 to tie for 3rd! Ah well, will break that number this year.

    I forgot to post that.

Par is 66, so I was 5 under par. I even had a bogey on a par 3

The course is situated on a very small plot of land, so there's only a couple Par 5's, and a few extra par 3's. It's not a championship course by any means, but it's definitely not easy. There are some tricky little holes. Most of the time I usually played it around 5 over par. It's located right on Lake Ontario, so it gets crazy windy there most of the time.

The big shot for me was draining a 30 foot snaker for eagle on a par 4 (driveable in 1).
