Does anyone know how much the registration fee is? Typically...how long do you need to hit the ball to qualify???

I think its $25-30. And I think you need to put it out there 330ish. There was a thread a while ago about this.

I'm in! Going to set the driver up in draw mode and give it a big rip. I can get it out about 450yards if I really catch it.. i've been working out, the swing speed is over 135mph now

It's a show up and register kind of thing. I went out last year just for fun and if I remember correctly, they give you 3 or 5 balls and you got to hit it in the grid.

Unfortunatly for me, the grid proved to be too tiny. I did catch a few tho.

Dan, there was one hell of a tail wind last year, just put up a good lob wedge and you're there.

If I'm bored and can still swing my big ass Long driver that's been sitting in the trunk of my car, I might give it another shot. But when you get there and guys have 10 drivers in a bag, you feel like you're a little out of your league.

i've been working out, the swing speed is over 135mph now[/quote] That's some swingspeed thotho, the highest registered swing speed that I ever had was a 133 and that was 8 years ago. I'm lucky to reach 116 anymore, but I'm not complaining cause that's more than enough to play good golf but not enough to try any long drive championships

Swingspeed is nothing if you don't make good contact at a good launch angle. Believe me, I know. With my normal driver I can put the clubhead at about 130, with my 50" driver I was able to get it into the 140's, and I'd bet that there are alot of slower swings that would blow it by me.

You get to hit 6 balls , cost $ 45.00 cdn. Grid is 45 yds wide and deep. Just show up the morning of June 3rd and register and hit your six balls. The longest of your six balls is your registered yardage. You can hit as many times as you like time permitting.
    See you there..

"GOOD GRIEF" here we go again (re thotho) the grid is only 45 yds wide? Did we not read something last week about about his terrible slice, etc, etc, etc? Just kidding but I could not resist the temptation! PS Did we actually win last night?
