    putting

Does anyone know a good web site or read on putting. My putting is the worst part of my game and getting really frustrating.

From missing the hole completely, distance, i just suck. I have no proper grip of the club ( tried way to many diffrent ones).

I practice it at home a bit, but i only have a little carpet ( curse the hardwood).

    Thanks
    Dustin

Tiger used to putt on a hardwood floor to prepare for the masters.

Lightbulb Try reading Dave Pelz's Putting Bible

This is a great book. Dave boils putting down to a science and talks about things you'd never even think about. I highly recommend it.

    putting on hardwood

While it is of no value for judging speed, putting on hardwood provides excellent feedback on allignment and good ball roll.

I know that if I can keep my putt on the same 3 inch width of hardwood for 10-15 feet that I'm definitely stroking the ball were I am aiming.

Thats a great theory, about using the hardwood to align the ball, too bad i'm in an apartment so its pretty warped
I guess some would look at as a challenge.

Hey Dustin. I'd like to recommend Dave Pelz's first book on putting, "PUTT LIKE THE PROS". It's a great start to solving the mysteries of putting but it might be hard to find (published in '89). The Bible is very involved with lots of charts/graphs,etc. It can really bog you down with info....
I started this off-season (well last fall) with Mr. Pelz' first classic "THE SHORT GAME BIBLE". Learning how to chip & pitch was a great wonder but it really was fantastic!!! Once my regular 3-putts started to disappear ( my ball was almost always close to the hole), my putting became really, really effortless.
I've gone from a 19 Handicap to a 10.3, as of yesterday, without any lessons.
    Sorry Mark..
