So why should he retire if his exemptions are all gone? That just means he has to work hard and play his way back onto the tour! Its not like 'the Wie debate', if he makes it on through hard work then he hasn't taken anyones spot He is still quite young and I think he can get his head screwed back on straight and get back to his old form! (at least I hope so)

don't get me wrong, I will always be cheering for him but doesnt look like he can put 2 consective rounds together to make the cut. I doubt he will be on tour

His exemptions aint gone till he is 65

Exemption Condition number 2 for the Open Championship is Any player who has won a past Open Championship and is not over 65 years old.

But there is the embarrasment factor.

The poor guy had vertigo if I am not correct. And his living is made with hand eye coordination.....ouch.
